Be registered to vote

Yes Musselburgh will be pushing voter registration at our next stall and into the future. If you’re not registered to vote, you can’t vote! Remember you need to be 18 & a UK subject to vote in any Westminster election.

In Scotland, everyone over the age of 16 can vote in local elections, Scottish parliamentary elections & any future Scottish referendums.

European nationals can vote in Scottish parliamentary & local elections plus referendums.

The Scottish parliament will soon leglislate that European citizens continue to have the right to vote in Scotland.
