In Scotland’s Future History, historian and author Stuart McHardy asked us to re-examine what we thought we knew about Scotland. In Scotland’s Future Culture, he developed and deepened those arguments, expanding the scope of his inquiry to include the role of women, early church influence, and the ongoing relevance of our oral traditions.
Post-Brexit, these timely books allow the reader to consider Scotland’s future within the context of its past as McHardy discusses the lingering political influences that still shape our culture today and provides material to give the stoutest Unionist pause for thought.
